ABOUT THE PROJECT
Based on Annie Proulx’s Pulitzer Prize–winning short story (adapted into Ang Lee’s Oscar-winning film), Brokeback Mountain now comes to the Portuguese stage in a new adaptation by Ashley Robinson.
This intimate production explores the timeless themes of love, destiny, regret, and identity, giving voice to a story that remains urgent and resonant today.

This special lunch gathering brings together friends, patrons, and supporters who wish to play a vital role in making this landmark production possible.
Guests will enjoy an exclusive lunch prepared by Bica do Sapato’s chef Milton Anes, selected wines by Quinta de Adorigo and a stunning view over the Tagus River. The afternoon will include moments of storytelling, art, and conversation, celebrating theatre and the power of community.
All proceeds from this event go directly to Teatro do Vão, financing the February 2026 premiere of Brokeback Mountain at Teatro da Trindade.
